Kenneth W. Knopf, D.M.D.
Dr. Kenneth W. Knopf graduated from the University
of Florida College of Dentistry in 1980. He has been
practicing dentistry here in Gainesville since his graduation.
Dr. Knopf attended Cornell University in New York for
his undergraduate. He also has his masters and PhD in
Entomology. Dr. Knopf is a member of the American Dental
Association, Florida Dental Association, Alachua County
Dental Association and the Central District Association.
Dr. Knopf and his wife, Debby, together have four children,
Craig, Jessica, Kyle and Marissa. Three of the four
work in various capacities in the office.
In his spare time, Dr. Knopf enjoys running, fishing,
hunting and woodworking.

Alecia Skipper McDonald, D.M.D.
Alecia Skipper McDonald, D.M.D. is a graduate of the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. She also completed her undergraduate studies at UF with a major in microbiology. She is a huge GATOR fan and has fallen in love with the city of Gainesville so much so that she has decided to practice here in Gainesville.
Dr. McDonald is a member of the Alachua County Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association and the Central District Dental Association.
Dr. McDonald was born in Pensacola, Florida, the cradle of aviation. She comes from a military family and relocated to a new adventure every five years living in many areas of the country as well as overseas in the Philippines. Of course, traveling has become her passion and she is always planning for the next holiday.
In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, and spending time with her husband and son, Chesley.

Richard G. Spooner, D.M.D.
Dr. Spooner was born in Colorado, but raised in Citrus County Florida. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in Nutritional Science. He went on to graduate from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Dr. Spooner is a member of the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association.
In his spare time he enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife and children.

Christopher S. Kuhns, D.M.D.
Christopher S. Kuhns, DMD was raised in Stuart, Florida, graduated from the University of Florida, College of Dentistry with Research High Honors, The Academy of General Dentistry award, the Pierre Fauchard award, and the OKU Ethics award. He completed his undergraduate studies at UF with a major in Food Science and Human Nutrition.
Dr. Kuhns is a member of the Alachua County Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association.
When Dr. Kuhns is not practicing he enjoys playing disc golf, traveling, and attending Gator sporting events with his wife Mary. He loves science, technology, and building computers.

Nancy, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Nancy is one of our dental hygienists. She attended St. Petersburg College where she received an Associate of Arts degree. After eleven years as a dental assistant Nancy attended Northern Virginia Community College and received a degree in Dental Hygiene in 1990.
As a hygienist at Millhopper Family Dentistry since 1992, Nancy enjoys many long term patients and is always eager to educate them on their everyday oral care needs.
Nancy has been happily married for thirty-eight years to Greg. They have a wonderful daughter and son-in-law and a two year old granddaughter, who they love to spoil. For relaxation, Nancy enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Tammy, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Tammy is one of our dental hygienists. She is very personable and makes all patients feel at home. Tammy grew up in High Springs, and is currently living in Alachua. While in her senior year of high school she began her dental hygiene education. She graduated in 1992 with her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Santa Fe Community College. Tammy has been a part of our team since 1995.
Tammy is married to Scotty and they have a son, Zach, and a daughter, Savannah.
Tammy's hobbies include scrap-booking, boating, and spending quality time with her family.

Kelly, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kelly's dental experience began in 1995 when she worked as one of our sterilization assistants. It was during that time that she became motivated to pursue a dental hygiene career. She graduated in 1999 with honors from Santa Fe Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She rejoined our team in December of 1999 as a full time hygienist.
Kelly loves spending time with her family. She and her husband, Kevin were raised in Gainesville. They have two very energetic kids, Megan and Jacob who keep them laughing. They love to play with their big brother, Ruger, their blonde Labrador.
"Working at Millhopper Family Dentistry has been great! I have the best of both worlds. Working part-time after the birth of my kids has allowed me to really appreciate the love I have for my time with my babies and continuing my career with great patients and fantastic staff. I feel very blessed."

Jenna, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jenna is one of our many dental hygienists. She graduated from SFCC in 2001 and was a dental assistant before entering the dental hygiene program.
Jenna loves spending time with (and chasing after) her Son, Ethan, and three mini-dachshunds (Daisy, Lily, and Audie). Jenna enjoys the outdoors and in her spare time heads to the gym for an intense workout.
Jenna loves working with children as well as adults trying to achieve exceptional dental health and in building a long lasting friendship with our patients.

Addie, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Addie has been working in the dental field
since she was 15 years old. She began her career as
a dental assistant and then completed the Dental Hygiene
Program at SFCC in 2006. Addie earned her Bachelor's
Degree in Health Education from the University of Florida
.
Addie was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida and
has been living in Gainesville since 2002. She enjoys
playing the violin, exercising and spending time with
her friends, family and pets.
Addie enjoys seeing patients of all ages and helps
to make their dental visits as comfortable and enjoyable
as possible.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Whitney is one of our many dental hygienists. She graduated in May 2007 from Santa Fe Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.
Whitney is a life long resident of Lake City, Florida where she lives with her husband, Dustin and their daughter, Peyton who was born in summer 2008. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Maranda is one of our many dental hygienists. She graduated from Santa Fe Community college with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Before her days as a hygienist she worked at Millhopper Family Dentistry as a dental assistant.
Maranda was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. In her spare time she likes to read literature about the dental field to stay on top of the newest research and developments for her patients. Maranda is a true animal lover and currently has two dogs that she adopted from a local animal shelter.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Susan is one of our many dental hygienists. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Santa Fe College. She also graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Travel and Tourism Management in 2005.

Vanessa
Dental Assistant
Vanessa has been living in Gainesville since 1988. She
started working at Millhopper Family Dentistry in 2007.
She graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Santa
Fe Community College in June 2008. Vanessa lives with
her boyfriend, Chris, and cat, Kyo. In her free time
she likes to make jewelry, go to the beach, fish, and
hang out with Chris.

Brenda
Dental Assistant
Brenda is one of our dental assistants.
Although she has only been with our practice since 2001,
you would never know it. She immediately took initiative
and from the start was a very hard worker. She takes
special time to sit and become acquainted with patients
on a personal level.
Brenda is originally from Miami, Florida. She has been
providing dentistry with her excellent service since
1984. She is expanded function certified and radiology
certified.
Brenda is happily married to Tim and they share two
teenage daughters, Heather and Lauren.
To relieve stress, Brenda spends time in her garden.

Tami, C.D.A.
Certified Dental Assistant
Tami is one of our expanded functions dental assistants. One of Tami's biggest responsibilities is being our head assistant. She is our implant coordinator and goes beyond the call of duty wherever necessary. She has been employed since 1998. Tami is a sincere, polite, and friendly person who prides herself on making your appointment as soothing as possible.
Tami attended Jacksonville dental assisting school and has been working as an assistant since 1991. She also attended the University of Florida where she received her Expanded Duties Certification.
Tami is from Keystone Heights, Florida and is the youngest of five children in her family. She is married and has a baby girl, Alexis.
Spending time with her husband and new baby consume most of Tami's free time, along with waterskiing with her husband and friends.

Natalie,
Dental Assistant
Natalie has truly been a part of the
Millhopper "Family". At the age of three,
Natalie had her first Dental visit and has been coming
to the office since, and continues as a Dental Assistant
now with two years past Sterilization experience in
the office. Natalie is in school currently working towards
becoming a dental hygienist at Santa Fe Community College.
Natalie was raised here in Gainesville
and loves to spend time with her family, watch the Gators
play, and play with her little dogs, Bradley and Carlee.

Jenny, C.D.A.
Certified Dental Assistant
Jenny is one of our expanded duties dental assistants. She has been a dental assistant since 1994. Jenny loves to make our patients feel welcome and comfortable during their dental treatment. Jenny received her expanded duties certification and radiology license from the University of Florida. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida.
Jenny is originally from Palm Beach, Florida and she grew up in beautiful Jupiter, Florida. Jenny moved to Gainesville in 2003 and has since made Gainesville her home. She and her husband Justin enjoy spending time together with their family and friends, exercising, cooking, and spoiling their dogs Skamper, Lady, and Percy. Jenny and Justin are proud parents of their son Justin Too.

Dental Assistant
Linda is one of our dental assistants.
She has graduated from the Dental Assisting Program
from Santa Fe College and has also earned her Bachelor's
in Sociology from the University of Florida. Linda is
very friendly and would love to help you with your dental
needs. When she is able to, she loves to spend time
with her boyfriend, Rahul, cook, and relax with friends
and family.

Wendy,
Dental Assistant
Wendy is one of our Dental Assistants. She joined our office in January, 2010. She was born and raised in Gainesville, FL then moved to Lake City, FL where she currently lives. Wendy always wants to help anywhere she can. She does many things for the office. She works on the front desk and in sterilization whenever needed. She really loves working with people and helping them make the best decisions for all their dental needs, and most of all she loves to see people smile.
Wendy is married to Clint and has three teenage children, Autumn, Kailie, and Brett. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Wendy loves to go to the beach, and she heads for the waves every chance she gets. She loves hunting, fishing, and raising animals on her family farm. Football and baseball are her favorite sports, and she is a die-hard Gator Girl. Wendy has a very special, spoiled companion named "Zanie" who gets lots of "Scooby Snacks' and kisses on a daily basis. |

Dental Assistant
Nakecyia is one of our dental assistants. She has been a dental assistant since 1996. Nakecyia received her expanded duties and radiology certifications from the University of Florida and is currently a student at Santa Fe College. Nakecyia has an inviting personality and a friendly smile. She always makes Millhopper patients feel like they are family and comforts them during dental procedures.
Nakecyia was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida and knows the importance behind the Gator Nation. Nakecyia enjoys spending quality time with her children, Vashon, 15 and Khalia, 10. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends, and special companion, Kirby. |

Jessica
Office Administator
Jessica is one of our office administrators. She has
been at Millhopper Family Dentistry since 2002. Jessica
is always smiling and doing her best to make the office
run smoothly.
Jessica has lived in the area all her life. She graduated
from the University of Florida in 2005 with a Bachelor's
Degree in Economics.
When Jessica is not working she enjoys spending time
with her loving husband, Bob and traveling. Jessica
and Bob have a sweet hound dog named Sugar.

Cheryl
Office Administrator
Cheryl is one of our office administrators. She has
been a part of our Millhopper family since 2005 when
she and her family moved here from New York. With her
kind and outgoing personality she is always eager to
assist our patients and staff in any way she can.
When Cheryl is not at work she is enjoying time with
her husband, Greg and their sons Devon and Justin. She
also likes spending her free time reading, crocheting
and walking.

Amanda
Administrative Assistant
Amanda is one of our administrative assistants. She
has been with our practice since 2005. Amanda has lived
in Gainesville most of her life and attended Santa Fe
Community College.
Outside the office Amanda loves spending time with her
family. She and her husband, Frank, have 2 daughters,
Anna and Ally, who are the light of their lives. Amanda
enjoys movies with her husband, taking her kids to the
park, and going on family vacations.

Administrative Assistant
Sharon is one of many smiling faces to greet you when
visiting Millhopper Family Dentistry. Sharon became
part of our Adminsitrative team in April 2007. She is
happy to help you with any questions you may have regarding
new patient appointments, insurance and scheduling dental
procedures.
Sharon enjoys golfing, hiking, visiting the beach and
spending time with her best friend and husband Keith,
her daughter Krystal and son-in-law Jedidiah her youngest
daughter Jayme and Jayme's Fiancé Justin and
last but not least Brandy Alexandra our very active
Terrior.

Administrative Assistant
Timothy Murphy was born in Gainesville, then grew up
in Alachua.
He started working with MFD in 2007, and is planning
to go to SFCC in January to further his education. In
his spare time he enjoys playing guitar and dancing.

Chanté is one of our Administrative Assistants.
She began working at Millhopper Family Dentistry in
2008. Chanté is always enthusiastic in welcoming
you when you walk through our door. She is happy and
eager to help all of our patients with a friendly smile.
Chanté attends Santa Fe Community College where
she is earning her Associate of Science Degree in Health
Information Management. Chanté was born in Virginia,
but has been in Florida for 20 years.
Chanté loves to go to the beach and hang out
with her family.
